Open Book
Jenni Pertuset, Writer
Seattle, Washington
website: pertuset.net/openbook
services provided:
custom logo, business card and blog design
problem:
Jenni wanted to kick off her new writing career, but needed a logo and image to promote her blog.
solution:
Inspired by one of her favorite photographs, we used the image as the basis of her presence with just a simple typeface and clean open layout for both her blog and business card.
After the successful launch of Open Book, Jenni asked us to restructure her existing family blog, chronicling her family's personal life. She had all the existing content, but it was a huge chore to update weekly. After transferring the design into Wordpress, she was then able to automate her posts to save time every week.
green highlights:
All of the design process was done via email, sending images and PDFs for approval. We then set up a preview site to work out all of the last bugs and problems with the site before launched. Our all digital workflows keep the content on the computer, instead of print-outs that are inevitably going to be discarded. We attempt to put Reduce in front of Reuse and Recycle in all our work.
from the client:
“I love it, I love it! It's looking so great, I'm really pleased! You preserved the things I like about the design, while making the whole thing more functional and wonderful.”
